To Celebrate the 125th Anniversary of the first through passenger train from St. John’s to Port aux Basques, the Railway Coastal Museum is having a special guest, Clayton Hann. Clayton has a series of paintings inspired by his memories of the railway in Newfoundland. With the encouragement and guidance of Corner Brook artist Jackie Alcock, Clayton has self-published a book of his work and the history behind each painting.
On August 19th and 20th, we are pleased to have Clayton’s paintings on display in the museum and the launch of his book, The Newfoundland Railway Art Exhibit. This book will be available for purchase in the gift shop. You can meet Clayton at the museum between 1 pm and 4 pm Saturday and Sunday. Please drop by and share your own stories about the railway.
Regular Admission applies.
